Horse Show (2008)
On September 28th 2008 we took 4 horses and 9 students to the 15th Annual Kiwanis Equestrian Competition for Special Athletes, which is the largest riding event for riders with special needs in Southern California, with more than 15 therapeutic riding centers competing in both English and Western disciplines. It was an incredible experience for all of us who participated and all our students came away with ribbons, trophies and huge smiles! The event was sponsored by the Kiwanis and the students received free photographs of themselves during the competition and with their ribbons, meals, refreshments and goody bags. Our fantastic volunteers went above and beyond to make it such a positive experience for all, each one was assigned a horse to prepare for and lead in, all the different classes. Their hard work and dedication ensured that everything ran smoothly and the students could enjoy the day.
