Christmas Party
On Saturday December 13th, 2008 we had our annual Christmas Party with riding demonstrations and lunch. Our students put on a wonderful display of longing, vaulting, drill team and showmanship.

Christmas Horse Show
On Sunday December 7th 2008, the Back Bay Therapeutic Riding Club competed in the Rising Stars of Equestrian Therapy horse show. 9 students and 3 siblings competed and we came away with many ribbons and trophies. Congratulations to all who participated.View Gallery
First Fund Raiser – Harnessing Hope - June 14th
Our first ever fund raiser took place on June 14th, 2008 and was a great success with 100 attendees. The evening consisted of a silent and live auction, accompanied by live music and dinner. The highlight was a special presentation of an exceptional documentary about our program filmed by Brianna Young and Jason Olsen. A special thank you goes to Mr. Larry Lake, who graciously opened his house for the event and also to our incredible team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to make it such a special evening. Thank you to all of you who attended and gave so generously, all the proceeds from the event go directly into our program and allow us to continue our work.View Gallery
First Horse Show
On September 28th 2008 we took 4 horses and 9 students to the 15th Annual Kiwanis Equestrian Competition for Special Athletes, which is the largest riding event for riders with special needs in Southern California, with more than 15 therapeutic riding centers competing in both English and Western disciplines. It was an incredible experience for all of us who participated and all our students came away with ribbons, trophies and huge smiles! The event was sponsored by the Kiwanis and the students received free photographs of themselves during the competition and with their ribbons, meals, refreshments and goody bags. Our fantastic volunteers went above and beyond to make it such a positive experience for all, each one was assigned a horse to prepare for and lead in, all the different classes. Their hard work and dedication ensured that everything ran smoothly and the students could enjoy the day.View Gallery

Grand Opening
The Back Bay Therapeutic Riding Club had it's Grand Opening on Saturday, March 24, 2007. It was a great success and we would like to thank everyone who turned out to support us and made it such a special day. None of this would have been possible without our wonderful volunteers to whom we offer our heartfelt gratitutde for all of their commitment and hard work. A special thank you also goes out to our star student Hillary who gave us such a wonderful demonstration of a therapeutic riding class. Now we look forward to sharing a bright and happy future working with our incredible students and volunteers.View Gallery
